Motorcyclist killed when Camaro driver ignores stop sign in Lenawee County

MACON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A motorcyclist was killed in the middle of the afternoon Sunday when a Camaro driver ignored a stop sign in Lenawee County and caused a crash, police said.

The crash happened at 2:21 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Britton Highway and Clinton Macon Road in Macon Township.

Officials said an 84-year-old woman from Milan was driving a red Chevrolet Camaro west on Clinton Macon Road when she went through a stop sign at Britton Highway.

A 29-year-old Tecumseh man was driving a black Ducati motorcycle north on Britton Highway and crashed into the driver’s side of the Camaro, police said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Camaro was not injured.

Michigan State Police continue to investigate the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call 734-242-3500.
