St. Clair County teen skateboarder dies after fall from moving vehicle

Driver is cooperating with investigation

He was rushed to McLaren Macomb Hospital with critical injuries.

PORT HURON, Mich. – A 19-year-old man died Saturday, May 11, two days after being critically injured after falling while skateboarding in Port Huron.

It happened Thursday, May 9, just before midnight on 24th Street, near Vine Street. Police said he was holding onto a vehicle while skateboarding when he fell and struck the pavement.

He was rushed to McLaren Macomb Hospital with several facial and skull fractures. Police confirmed Monday, May 13, that the teen succumbed to his injuries over the weekend.

Police said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation.
