DETROIT – Football season is about to kickoff, but it's not just about the game, it's also about the tailgating.
Kelley Blue Book, the leading provider of new car and used car information, has released its new list of the top tailgating vehicles.
Experts at Kelley Blue Book explored vehicles to fit every budget. They looked to tailgating-friendly features such as: large, drainable in-vehicle coolers; a variety of in-car connectivity features; in-vehicle refrigerators; power lift gates; off-roading capabilities; flexible seating arrangements; and premium sound systems. Many of the cars on this year's list also offer fold-down tailgates.
The 2012 Ram 1500 pickup truck tops the list. KBB called it the "ultimate party animal," with its lockable, waterproof stow spaces and Wi-Fi system.
The second on the list is the 2012 Ford F150 Regular Cab, third is the 2012 Honda Ridgeline, four is the 2012 GMC Yukon, fifth is the 2012 Ford Flex, sixth is the 2012 Toyota 4Runner, seventh is the Mitsubishi Outlander, eighth is the 2013 Mazda CX-5, ninth is the 2012 Kia Soul and tenth is the 2012 Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
