Detroit Municipal Parking Department installs electric vehicle charging stations

Charging stations to be installed at 4 downtown parking facilities

DETROIT – The city of Detroit is making it a little easier for 'green' drivers to park downtown.

Customers who pay to park at designated City of Detroit Municipal Parking (MPD) facilities now have the ability to charge their electric vehicle.  MPD has installed eight electric vehicle-charging stations at four parking facilities in downtown Detroit.  Electric vehicle owners need only pay the usual parking fees.
