Outdoor boutiques in Ann Arbor holding grand opening

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A brand new outdoor shopping center is opening in Ann Arbor on Thursday at 10 a.m.

The grand opening of the 80,000 square foot retail center at 3010 Washtenew Avenue is the first of its kind in 40 years in Washtenaw County.

Sprawling over nine acres, the center will have a mix of national, regional and local apparel, specialty retail and food tenants.

In the first two weeks of opening, shoppers will be able to enter the Grand Opening Giveaway contest where they have the chance to win a $500 shopping spree. Entry cards for the contest will be available at each store and there is no purchase necessary.

The first 11 retailers to open their doors in the new center are Anthropologie, Glassbox Coffe and Juice, Hot Mama, Madewell, My Urban Toddler, Paper Source, Running Fir, Sur la Table, Lululemon Athletica, The North Face and V2V.

Also debuting in the next two months will be 1154 LILL Studio, Arhaus Furniture, Bluemercury, Brooks Brothers, J. Jill, Pizzeria Biga and Zola Bistro.

Numerous stores offering discounts and giveaways during the grand opening are:

  • Madewell: The first 50 shoppers will receive a mystery discount ($25-$250) between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursday
  • My Urban Toddler: Raffles, giveaways and special sales will happen through Labor Day
  • Hot Mama: The first 50 customers will receive gift cards and all customers will enjoy 15 percent off every purchase through Sunday.
  • Sur la Table: Special demo cooking classes will be offered for just $5.
