Hundreds of skateboarders took to the streets of downtown Detroit Thursday to celebrate the international event Go Skateboarding day.

It was a rocky start for the 9th annual Wild In The Streets skateboarding ride as some of Detroit police officers came to the scene about to break up the event before it even started. The Detroit leg of this event started in Hart Plaza where skaters young and old gathered to celebrate.
