Friday, Sept. 30:

The Farmer's Hand Grand Opening: On Friday, September 30 from noon to 8 p.m. join us as we open our doors to the public for the very first time! Samples will be available throughout the day, including treats from Reilly Craft Creamery Ice Cream Cart, The Mother Loaf Breads and more. 

Leon Bridges at The Fillmore: If you could describe Leon Bridges in four words it would be: Suit-wearing soul singer. From restaurant dishwasher to being signed by Columbia Records, Leon Bridges hasn’t had any reason to look back at the filthy plates in the sink.

Saturday, Oct. 1:

Michigan Bootlegger Heritage Festival: 89X and 93.9 The River, along with Colony Marine, present the Michigan Bootlegger Heritage Festival on Saturday, October 1st featuring Michigan's finest microbrews, delicious food, live entertainment and an array of antique boats and cars on display! 

Intimate House Party Benefit on John Sinclair's 75th Birthday: Celebrating John Sinclair's 75th Birthday With A Benefit Bash. Perhaps no one has had more of an impact on the Michigan music scene than John Sinclair. A group of southeastern Michigan music professionals are throwing a benefit for John, the goal is to give John a check to pay his living expenses.

2nd Annual Gigs for Digs Concert: A great concert featuring American Indie Pop band JR JR. Great entertainment, food and dancing to benefit Humble Design.

There Is No I In Hamtramck: Hamtramck is a uniquely strange and wonderful city, nestled within the loving arms of Detroit. Twelve artists are exhibiting work that show their equally unique views of this place.

A Spencer Barefield Quartet Concert, Cliff Bells: A Spencer Barefield Quartet@ Cliif Bells Oct 1, 9:30 pm with Dave McMurray (sax), Dave Young (bass), Djallo Djakate (drums). A. Spencer Barefield is "... an extraordinary guitarist / composer, whose striking use of classical sympathetic and 12-string instruments owes as great a debt to Segovia as it does to any jazz antecedent … He melds the techniques of Segovia and Jimi Hendrix into a startling jazz lexicon" states JazzTimes. 

Sigur Ros at the Fox Theatre: Icelandic experimental rock band Sigur Rós have announced an upcoming North American tour this Fall including a performance at the Fox Theatre on Saturday, October 1. For the first time in their career the band will be touring without a support act, instead offering the audience two sets (including an intermission) starting 8:30 p.m. sharp.

Palmer Park Harvest Festival: Autumn in Detroit's Palmer Park would not be complete without a hayride through the colorful trails at People for Palmer Park's annual Harvest Festival. 

Sunday, Oct. 2:

Open Streets Detroit: In this unique first-time event Michigan Ave. and Vernor Hwy will be transformed into a giant street park as the road is temporarily blocked to automobile traffic from Campus Martius to Vernor and Livernois. People will have the opportunity to bike, walk, jog, skate, and more through the car-free street.

A John Sinclair Birthday Celebration: The Detroit Artists Workshop and friends present a public recital on the occasion of John Sinclair’s seventy-fifth birthday celebration.
