2007 Comerica CityFest Kicks Into High Gear

The Comerica CityFest is in high gear.It is a five-day outdoor food and culture rich entertainment street festival in Detroit's historic New Center over each Fourth of July weekend.The event exemplifies city life, what it is and what it could be, in one of Detroit’s fastest growing 24-hour districts.
A diverse and family friendly crowd looks forward each year to our free national and local talent on four stages, over 40 Michigan restaurants selling tastes of their specialties, free stage shows, activities for children, and a marketplace of unique Detroit products and memorabilia. Comerica CityFest is free and open to the public.Over 500,000 people attend the festival each year from throughout southeastern Michigan and Ontario.There will be several stages featuring numerous artists. The kickoff party will take place July 3 in the Fisher Theatre Lobby from 8 p.m to midnight. Check out the Kid Zone, located in Fisher Building parking lot. The hours are July 4-8 from noon- 6 p.m. All the kids activities are free.
