Medical Weight Loss Clinic is offering free weight loss help for people who have recently lost their jobs.
Beginning Nov. 12, the Medical Weight Loss Clinic has agreed to pick up the tab for the first 30 pounds of weight loss for unemployed people.
“We understand that these are challenging economic times for so many people,” said Alberta Lipiniski, nursing supervisor of Medical Weight Loss Clinic. “We want to help provide the tools and support to unemployed individuals to help them stay healthy as they look for a job.”
The first 25 unemployed people who schedule appointments at each of the 34 clinics in Michigan and northern Ohio will be eligible for the free weight loss program.
To participate in the program and schedule an appointment call 800-GET SLIM.
In total, 850 people can benefit from one-on-one weight loss support from MWLC professionals. All weight loss clinics are based upon a patient’s medical profile.
Medical Weight Loss Clinic programs use regular grocery store food to help develop healthy eating habits.
This year alone, Medical Weight Loss Clinic patients will lose in excess of two million pounds.
Medical Weight Loss Clinic applicants are asked to bring valid state-issued identification and state-issued unemployment benefits enrollment confirmations to their first scheduled appointment.
