Kids Town Activities
Watch the flowers bloom, splash in puddles and discover baby animals lurking around the corner. Dig in to what’s new during this fresh season at Kids Town, Michigan Science Center’s special gallery made exclusively for kids ages five and under. Fun in Kids Town is free with paid general admission to the Science Center.
Spring Break Camp
April 1 - 5, 2013
Join us for Spring Break Camps and get the inside scoop on the best Michigan’s largest science center has to offer. New activities are scheduled daily, so kids can attend one day or stay the entire week! Two different camps for grades 1-6. Cost: One Day Camps: $40 members/$45 non-members Weekly Camp: $180 members/ $190 non-members. Time: 9a.m. – 4 p.m. with extended before and after care available for an additional fee. The Michigan Science Center provides lunch and an afternoon snack.
Autism Awareness Day

Light it Up Blue! In honor of Autism Awareness Month, the Michigan Science Center will have an art contest in our Kids Town for ages 5 and under, hands-on activities about the five senses in the museum’s Nutrition Kitchen, and families can learn about the ear and eye in our Cell Lab. Want to learn more about how our bodies work? Add the BODIES HUMAN: Anatomy in Motion special exhibit and/or IMAX film The Human Body to your visit. All visitors wearing blue to the Michigan Science Center on April 2 will receive complimentary admission to the IMAX® film The Human Body with the purchase of admission to BODIES HUMAN: Anatomy in Motion.
Late Nite Under the Stars at Ball State

Michigan Science Center’s Traveling Science team for Late Nite Under the Stars at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Mi-Sci will be presenting shows in the STARLAB, our portable planetarium. Guests are welcome to attend this public event for $5 each.
Jr. Girl Scouts Workshop – Detective

Teacher Professional Development: Roller Coaster Physics
April 13, 2013 - 9am-4pm
This Mi-Sci workshop focuses on the fundamentals of physics as it pertains to roller coasters and other amusement park rides. Participants will engage in a variety of activities that will enhance their knowledge and understanding about key physical science concepts such as Newton’s Laws of Motion and other fundamental concepts using hands-on, inquiry-based activities.
