Documents, computer hardware, devices, cell phones can be collected

Looking to shred some paper documents, get rid of computer hardware, hard drives and electronic devices, or donate an old cell phone?

The Better Business Bureau will host a Secure Your ID Day on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cintas says it will accept three paper bags or cardboard boxes of sensitive paper documents to shred at no charge. There will be a $10 fee per bag or box after the initial three. Proceeds will benefit the BBB Educational Foundation.

Global Electric Electronic Processing (GEEP) will collect for free used desktop PCs, laptops, keyboards, monitors, printers, televisions, computer mice, hard drives, speakers, radios, cameras, clocks and DVD and VCR players.

GEEP will also accept used cell phone donations, which will also benefit the BBB Educational Foundation.

GREENPATH Debt solutions will have on-site certified counselors that will participants to learn about their services and schedule a one-on-one counseling session.

Only cars in line by 12:30 p.m. Saturday will be serviced. BBB Secure Your ID Day will take place at 26777 Central Park Boulevard in Southfield.
