DETROIT -

The Parade Company says it will open its doors Valentine's Day weekend for couples that can take a private tour of the company's Parade Studio in Detroit.

The guided tour will provide, according to the Parade Company, a look back at the history of America's Thanksgiving Day Parade, along with an up close view of the larger-than-life characters and floats, all from a 12-foot tall Cupid to the historic Mother Goose float.

The Parade Company says each tour includes a commemorative photo taken in the Parade Studio, along with a special gift bag, featuring a bottle of champagne or sparking juice, flowers, chocolates, beads and their signature clown noses.

Valentine's Day in Paradeland helps support Detroit organizations The Parade Company and the Michigan Thanksgiving Parade Foundation.

The cost of the tour is $100 per couple, with $50 being tax deductible. The Parade Company says tours are available from 10am to 7pm Thursday, Feb. 14 through Saturday, Feb. 16 and are by reservation only.

The Parade Company Studio is located at 9500 Mt. Elliott, Studio A in Detroit, Mich.
