YPSILANTI, Mich. -

June is National Aphasia Awareness Month and the University of Michigan Aphasia Program is celebrating by hosting the Aphasia Awareness Celebration Picnic on Sunday.

According to UMAP, the picnic will take place Sunday, June 2 at Rolling Hills Park in Ypsilanti.

The picnic will honor past and current clients of UMAP's aphasia treatment as well as their caregivers.

UMAP says there will be fun activities, delicious food, musical entertainment and more from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The water park will be open and families are welcome to join as well.
