FLINT -

David Dubose lost his wife to diabetic complications on the first of August.

His car, his fellow cruisers, and Back To The Bricks give him a bit of strength.

"It's therapeutic."

David told me he came in remembrance of his wife. She would have come with him.

His car is designed to be KITT from Knight Rider. It's definitely an eye-catcher -- the hood has the red, panning lights, the console and steering wheel look identical, and he has the stereo playing the voice the sounds of KITT.

When I walked up to him, there was a crowd surrounding KITT. David had a huge smile on his face -- people were taking pictures and talking about their childhood memories of the show.

And there was a lot of that going on at the Back to the Bricks kick off event at US-23 Drive-In in Flint. Hundreds of cars & people lined the drive-in to take in "Grease".

Everyone gathered around to talk about their rides & take in a dancing costume contest. Older couples, families, and teenagers shared laughs and memories as oldies played in the background.

As for David, he has plans to finish KITT and move on to work on the evil Knight Rider KARR.

The fun continues the rest of the week from now until Saturday. For our preview of the event, click here.
