DETROIT - Beautiful botanical-themed photography will be featured during the annual River Days festival in Detroit.
Laurie Tennent's botanical photography is just some of the artwork that will line Detroit's Riverfront for the family-friendly event. River Days runs from June 21 through June 23 on the Detroit Riverfront.
Tennent's photographs will also be on display at the Planterra Conservatory in West Bloomfield. The conservatory is a garden venue for events, which is located at 7315 Drake Road in West Bloomfield.
A special Collector's Preview event will kick off the exhibit at the Planterra Conservatory. The preview is set for Monday, June 17 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $40. The event will benefit the Kelly Fund at the College for Creative Studies. The Kelly Fund is in honor of Tennent's mother, Kelly Hutcheson. It provides funding to College for Creative Studies students for art supplies and other projects.
The conservatory exhibit will be open to the public from June 18 through July 18 with no admission fee.
To purchase your tickets to the Collector's Preview, email RSVP@planterra.com or call 248-661-1515 during normal business hours.
