Church sets up free clothing store

New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church offering free clothes for families

DETROIT – The New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church is blessing people with a new wardrobe.

"We believe ministry is God's response to human need," said Pastor Tolan J.Morgan.

Morgan gave his church members a challenge, and they responded.

"What you see in the background is the result of the generosity and compassion of all the members of our church," Morgan said.

The church is providing clothing for men, women and children, free of charge.

Members turned the church gym into a department store.

"Freely we have received, and freely we want to give back to the community," said Morgan. "The rule is, if you see it, you like it and you can fit it, it's yours out the door free."

The church is located at 21050 Ascension Avenue in Detroit.
