Coffee orders to benefit children's foundation

On Wednesday -- Tim Hortons Camp Day -- 100 percent of coffee sales at Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop will be donated to the Tim Horton Children's Foundation, which helps send 18,000 kids from low-income homes to a life-changing camp experience.

At the camp, kids participate in activities designed to build self-confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills.

The camp comes at no cost to the kids or their families with the funds raised on Tim Hortons Camp Day. The restaurant chain owners sponsor kids directly from their community to attend camp and work closely with local youth organizations and schools to identify children who may benefit most from the experience.

Last year $12.2 million was raised in Canada and the United States, allowing 17,000 kids to go to the camp.

On Tim Hortons Camp Day, customers can also round up their purchase to the nearest after-tax dollar.
