'Cooking for Christmas' with Guernsey Farms Dairy

NORTHVILLE, Mich. – Guernsey Farms Dairy will celebrate the Holidays with our valued customers and Gleaners Food Bank by hosting "Cooking for Christmas with Guernsey Farms Dairy" on Saturday, December 20th from 11am-3pm.

Guests are asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food item(s) to ensure everyone across Southeast Michigan is able to "cook for Christmas" with their family.

The event will feature numerous recipes and samples of goodies made using Guernsey products with recipe cards available to take home, pictures with Santa, cooking demos by Gleaners Cooking Matters*, and more!

Recipes from Guernsey Farms Dairy Restaurant Executive Chef Jason Maman will be featured and available for partaking, as well as some McGuire family favorites that date back to the 1940's.

Gleaners Food Bank Cooking Matters will put on a live cooking demonstration at noon and 1pm, teaching guests how to make "Healthier Macaroni and Cheese". The program "is a groundbreaking, nutrition-education program that connects families with food by teaching them how to prepare healthy, tasty meals on a limited budget."

Collection boxes for food donations will be available at Guernsey farms Dairy, 21300 Novi Road, Northville MI from 12/10-12/20/ Suggested items to donate include canned meats/fish, canned soups/stews, dried or canned beans, pasta, baking mixes, cereal/oatmeal, granola bars, and peanut butter (no glass jars, please).
