"Michigan is our home, so at Farm Bureau Insurance we're committed to the communities and the people that make our state a great place to live," said Vic Verchereau, Farm Bureau Insurance vice president of Marketing. "Our initiative, Enriching Michigan's Children and Communities (E=mc²) supports safe and clean learning environments for our youth while providing opportunities for these future leaders. We are honored to partner with Palace Entertainment and the Detroit Pistons again this year to provide Michigan schools with a makeover opportunity designed to do just that."

The Pistons have renovated 30 facilities into Live, Learn, and Play Centers at schools, shelters, and hospitals in Michigan. As a part of the library or reading room makeover, the Pistons along with Farm Bureau Insurance will provide new paint, carpet, furniture, and technology amongst other resources.

"This is an incredible opportunity for a school in Michigan to have their library renovated or space turned into a reading room, but this makeover is also a vital part of the Detroit Pistons' mission to have an impact in our community," said Dennis Mannion, Palace Sports & Entertainment CEO and President. "It's our pleasure to partner with Farm Bureau Insurance again to provide Michigan students with a revitalized learning space."

The winning school will be announced in July and the project will be completed by the end of summer. The new reading room will be unveiled with a special ribbon-cutting event in September.
