Fundraiser Saturday for mother of 2 who lost both legs in accident

Lesley Banks-Daniels lost both legs above knee

TRENTON, Mich. – A fundraiser is being held Saturday for the woman who lost both of her legs after a recent bus accident.

Lesley Banks-Daniels, age 44, is a wife and mother of two children. Two weeks ago, her life changed in an instant at the Flat Rock bus yard where she worked as a school bus driver.

Another bus driver accidentally hit and pinned Daniels between the guardrail and a bus. The tragic accident left Daniels with both legs amputated above the knee.

Friends and family say she is a strong woman who fought to stay alive for her children after the accident.

Daniels has a long road ahead of her as she starts her rehabilitation.

The fundraiser will be held at Joe's Prime Time Pub located at 27845 Fort Street in Trenton, starting at 3 p.m Saturday on March 23.

An Italian dinner will be served and the event will include a 50/50 and live music for the ticket price of $10.00.

Donations can be made to:
