DETROIT -

The Greening of Detroit is kicking off the fall planting season on Saturday -- and you're invited!

The group plans on putting in 1,527 new trees in Detroit neighborhoods before Thanksgiving.

In addition, this is the beginning of a new partnership with The Conservation Fund.

Donations from U-Haul and its customers to The Conservation Fund’s Go Zero® program will support the planting of 1,600 trees at Rouge Park in the next 18 months.

Anyone willing to help out is encouraged to volunteer their time.

All plantings are from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Other tree planting dates:
