Chessman has been working hard to kick cancer over the last few months after he was diagnosed with Stage 1 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in March.

After a surgery to remove a lump in his throat, he's undergone months of chemo and recently finished his 20th sessions of radiation.

Chessman has stayed positive and hasn't let his health set back change him, freinds say.

He had to take an extended leave from work to undergo treatment, and because of this, has had to pay for his own medical insurance.

Come out Saturday and run or walk in the 5k for a good cause.
