Jobbie Nooner takes over Gull Island

Coast Guard conducts Operation Dry Water

GULL IsLAND, Mich. – It's the Mardi Gras of the midwest and it's taking over Gull Island on Lake St. Clair Friday. It's called Jobbie Nooner and the annual event brings thousands of boaters every year twice a year to have a good time on and around the island.

But every year numerous boaters are busted for boating under the influence or BUI. And this year, the Coast Guard is conducting Operation Dry Water. It's a nationwide push on not only the Great Lakes, but all lakes and waterways to get and keep boaters from beering up and boating.
