HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

Local residents have a chance to try scuba diving in the world's largest mobile scuba diving pool at the 4th Annual Boating & Outdoor Festival.

The 15,000 gallon "Be a Diver" heated scuba pool travels around North America, introducing people to scuba diving.

It will be at the Boating & Outdoor Festival, held at the Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township, from Thursday, Sept. 19 to Sunday, Sept. 22.

In 2012, thousands of people took the plunge to experience scuba diving at 25 Scuba Tour stops throughout North America.

Local 4's Evrod Cassimy took a dip in the Be a Diver pool. He says, "It's very fun. Something you must try once in your lifetime." Watch his experience unfold on Local 4 News Today at 6 a.m. Friday.

In addition to hundreds of boats in the water and on-land, accessories and services, organizers of the event said the Boating & Outdoor Festival is known for providing a full day of fun for the whole family.

Other special features include the Ultimate Dogs Jumping Competition, a kid's zone with character appearances, outdoor nation summit and more.
