SOUTHGATE, Mich. – Fashion students at The Art Institute of Michigan will put their style skills to work at the 3rd annual Mane Grand Gala to benefit children with hair loss on Sunday, September 23.
The charity event will take place at the Holiday Inn Banquet & Conference Center on Northline Road in Southgate starting at 6 p.m.

Three teams, consisting of one student and one hairstylist, will collaborate to create looks representing the past, present or future.
Students, Darius Freeman, Marvin Dixon and Ashley Walker will take part in the gala event which will culminate in a runway show.
The event hopes to raise awareness for the Children with Hair loss foundation as well as to provide local hairstylists an opportunity to showcase their talents.
Organizers say the event is all about bringing together the generosity of the community and the passion and creativity of the salon industry.
VIP tickets available for $75 and a table of 10 VIP seats is $650.
General admission is $40.
Cocktail attire is recommended for the evening of dinner, dancing and runway fashion.
