MDOT holding public meeting on Oakland County Woodward Avenue resurfacing project

5-mile project spans through 4 cities: Royal Oak, Berkley, Huntington Woods, Pleasant Ridge

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Transportation is holding a public meeting Monday for a big upcoming construction project that will affect drivers in Oakland County.

The resurfacing project will start in May and span five miles on both sides of Woodwood Avenue through the cities of Royal Oak, Berkley, Huntington Woods and Pleasant Ridge.

The construction is slated to last until November, but will be suspended during big event times such as Arts, Beats and Eats and the Woodward Dream Cruise.

The meeting will be held at the Royal Oak Public Library at 222 East 11 Mile Road from  3- 5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
