Neighborhood Service Organization kicks off 7th Annual RiverRun & Walk

Join Handlebars for the Homeless Detroit Bike Tour Saturday morning

DETROIT – Get on your bike this weekend and peddle around the Detroit Riverfront for a good cause.

Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) is hosting Handlebars for the Homeless Bike Tour on September 14, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the Detroit River Walk.

Hundreds of people on bikes and will join other participants who will be running or walking along the riverfront.

Handlebars for the Homeless is a leisurely 18 mile fundraising bike event. Checkout the bike route HERE.

Activities start at Rivard Plaza and culminate with a raffle for all participants with awards for top men, women, masters and seniors.

Whether running, walking or cycling participants will be helping the homeless, developmentally disabled, older adults, pre-schoolchildren and the city's youth.

The NSO's mission is to help homeless adults through mobile outreach, providing refuge from the elements along with moving people into permanent and supportive housing.
