Detroit's own "America's Thanksgiving Parade" is one of the oldest and most celebrated parades in the country and second in size only to the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York City. It's celebrating its 86th year on Woodward Avenue.
Parade goers lined the streets of Detroit early Thanksgiving morning in hopes of finding the perfect spot for viewing. WDIV-TV Local 4, the official television station of America’s Thanksgiving Parade, brought home the excitement and grand spectacle of balloons, bands, celebrities and floats in High-Definition like no one else can.
Featured performances included R&B recording artist KEM, young country sensation Annabelle Road, Karen Newman with the local classic "Christmas Eve on Woodward Avenue" and the Mid-American Pom Pon All Stars.
