The Marysville Viking Regiment is a MCBA (Michigan Competing Band Association) State Finalist since 1997. This band has been ranked in the top 10 for past 18 years. In 2009 the band earned a State Runner-Up placement for the MCBA state finals.
For both Concert Band and Marching Band the Marysville has earned 18 consecutive top rating scores of Division I at the MSBOA ( Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association) Band Festival.This is a school record.
In March 2016, the Marysville High School bands will be traveling to Florida for their 9th performance at Universal Studios and Disney World Magic Kingdom performance. 182 member strong.
The Marysville Bands has marched in The Detroit Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2003, 2006, 2009, and 2012; winning best band award in 2006 and winning the "battle of the bands in 2009.
