Red Oaks Waterpark opens Saturday

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. -

Oakland County Parks and Recreation is set to open two waterparks for the summer season.

Red Oaks Waterpark in Madison Heights opens Saturday and Waterford Oaks Waterpark in Waterford opens June 7.  

"Families consider our waterparks a true destination to spend a few hours or the entire day. Our waterparks are equipped with wave-action pools, "Big Bucket" children's water playground, and many other water features. We provide lounge chairs and tubes; showers and changing areas; picnic shelters and concessions. We also offer twilight hours discounts to visitors after 4 p.m. Monday - Friday, excluding holidays, which is a feature that working parents can enjoy," Waterford Oaks County Park Supervisor Katie Pardy said.

Oakland County Parks and Recreation is also offers guests safe, life-guarded beaches at Independence Oaks County Park in Clarkston; Groveland Oaks County Park in Holly; and Addison Oaks County Park in Leonard.

The two waterparks and three beaches are staffed by Gold International Aquatic Safety Award-winning lifeguards.

Red Oaks Waterpark is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekends and holidays and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Costs are
