NOVI, Mich. – Their personal stories resonate and every mile gets them one step closer to finding a cure.
"When women who care and want to make a difference pull together they make a difference," said Debbie Dingell.
Debbie Dingell is one of a thousand participants in the Komen 3 Day– each raising a minimum of $2300 that will help fund breast cancer research and outreach programs.
This marks the tenth year for the Susan G. Komen 3 Day in Michigan. The walkers kicked off the event Friday morning at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi pledging to walk 20 miles a day for three consecutive days.
Supporters are encouraged to visit designated sites to cheer on Amy and other 3-Day participants as they walk 60 miles in three spirited days.
