Teen with Down syndrome scores goal during Marysville soccer game

An inspiring moment between two high school soccer teams is capturing the hearts of people around Metro Detroit.

During a game between Marysville High School and Roseville High School this week, an amazing thing happened.

Shane McCallom, a boy with Down syndrome, scored a goal, while teammates on both sides cheered him on.

McCallom made the Marysville High School junior varsity team this year as Team Manager.

This is what happens when two opposing teams, with big hearts, get together & do something beautiful 󾬓⚽️!! The amazing boy who scored the goal in this video is Shane McCallom, he has Downs Syndrome, he made the Marysville High School JV team this year as Team Manager. Tonight, he was given a chance to strut his stuff against Roseville High School JV and we think that this was the best goal of the season, don't you?
