DETROIT - The Capuchin Soup Kitchen needs your help to make sure kids are ready to start school this fall.

The children's program offered through the organization, is low on school supplies for the coming academic year.

Much needed supplies include: new backpacks, pencils, pens, pencil sharpeners, subject dividers, glue sticks, compasses, erasers, colored pencils, markers, three ring binders, and five subject notebooks.

The Capuchin Soup Kitchen said children in the program earn supplies for school by reading ten books during the summer months of July and August.

Supplies are needed for the kids by August 27th.

Donations can be dropped off at 4390 Conner Avenue, Monday thru Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Solanus Casey Center located on 1780 Mount Elliott, will also be accepting donation at the front desk during weekends.
