Boston's alternative rock sensation rocks the Fillmore

Formed in 1986 famed alternative rock band The Pixies rocked The Fillmore Detroit. The Pixies have such a strong influence on helping move along the Alternative rock scene throughout the 90's. Their music actually kept growing in popularity even after their what seemed to be a premature break up in the early 90's. But in 2004 The Pixies reunited after overcoming personal differences and alcohol addiction, and were welcomed to sold out world tours. In 2013 co-founder and bassist Kim Deal decided to call it quits just after releasing a new track entitled "Bagboy" the bands new material in 10 years.
