Tom Wilson, Duggan among speakers at Detroit Homecoming breakfast

DETROIT – The city’s most successful and influential alumni are gathering to reconnect and celebrate the third annual Detroit Homecoming.

Discussions at the event are expected to cover everything from the future of Detroit’s children and the future of mobility, as well as a round table discussion with Dan Gilbert and Steve Ballmer.

This year’s speakers also include Tony Fadell, Jeffrey Sellers, Daniel Okrent, Shawn Ward and Allee Willis.

Tom Wilson, president and CEO of Olympia Entertainment, is expected to speak Thursday morning. Wilson is expected to talk about the development and strategy for the Detroit Red Wings new stadium and his continued plans for development in Detroit.

Mayor Mike Duggan is expected to talk about the future of Detroit’s children.

The event continues through the weekend. In its third year, Detroit expats have pledged more than $260 million in investments for projects and businesses in the city.
