Volunteers join residents for community makeover at future charter school site

DETROIT – Comerica Bank volunteers embarked on a community makeover project Saturday at the future site of a new Detroit charter school.

The Ross-Hill Academy is slated to open in June.

Clean up efforts included trimming and clearing shrubbery, mowing the grass, and spreading mulch at the school, as well as at the adjoining Calcara Park.

Members of the Bailey Park Project, a local organization which has been helping to maintain the park, joined the volunteers Saturday.
