DETROIT – Voting opens Monday, June 13 and ends Sunday, Aug. 7 in Local 4’s annual Vote 4 the Best contest at ClickOnDetroit.com/4thebest.
Voters can choose from nearly 300 categories and vote for their favorite business once per day throughout the summer. Or they can choose their own business to nominate.

Jason Carr, Local 4’s new digital anchor, will be a big part of the campaign this season, getting the word out on WDIV’s digital platforms and social media.

Winners will be announced online, at ClickOnDetroit.com/4thebest, the week of Aug. 22, 2016. In addition, some of the winners will be featured on “Local 4 News Today,” “Live in the D” and “Local 4 News First at 4.” Metro Detroiters can use the list as their go-to guide for the best of everything around town. They can search by city to find whatever business they’re looking for – wherever they are.
“Local businesses, whether they’re large or small, are the backbone of our communities, and we’re proud to celebrate them,” said Jamie Kaye Walters, Local 4’s creative services and programming director.
More than 12,000 businesses are on the Vote 4 the Best list. Participants can vote on their desk top computer or mobile devices. Hundreds of thousands of people voted last year during Local 4’s Vote 4 the Best.
