PACKARD PLANT OWNER FERNANDO PALAZUELO WALKS WITH US THROUGH THE MIGHTY ABANDONMENT

Myself and Uniquely Detroit's Alex Atwell got to spend some time with Fernando Palazuelo the owner of The Packard Plant. Palazuelo who was accompanied by Kari Smith, project manager and architectural historian for the Packard Plant Project for Arte Express. After some brief interviews we took a short stroll through the abandoned plant where Palazuelo and Smith intensely looked over this massive project. We even came across one of the many infamous Packard fires.

"I know Fernando is the man for the job because I have done my homework. Arte Express and Fernando Palazuelo have a reputation and legacy of amazing historic rehabs, internationally, in Barcelona, Madrid and Lima" said Smith. Mr. Palazuelo seems to be holding up to his word in the revitalization of this massive structure as the Project starts at the end of this month with cleanup, landscaping and the rehabilitation of the iconic bridge.
