Ruth To The Rescue Tests Local iPod Repair Company

POSTED: Tuesday, February 19, 2008

Ruth to the Rescue did a hidden-camera undercover investigation to help you get your iPod fixed.

Apple doesn't open up and fix iPods, especially if they are out of warranty.

The Pod Drop, based in the basement of a Washington Township home, has been repairing iPods and iPhones for several years now and fixes about 30 devices a day through its Web site.

In our test, the technicians at the Pod Drop replaced the battery and reformatted the hard drive of a 30 gig iPod at their new store in Macomb. It cost just $45.
