2014 Chevrolet Impala unveiled
General Motors looking to Hamtramck assembly plant to build new Impala
General Motors is looking to the Detroit Hamtramck assembly plant to build another important car.
On Monday, the 2014 Chevrolet Impala, sporting a 2.5 liter engine, started rolling off the line for the first time.
An all new Impala:
GM is trying to make it a mainstream, near luxury sedan, instead of the frumpy old rent-a-car of the last decade.
Impala has always been the top seller in its class since 2004.
Now GM will start to heavily advertise the new image during Major League Baseball, believing that's the best audience for this highly stylized new version.
