Baby blankets recalled over choking hazard

HALO SleepSacks wearable blankets sold at Babies 'R Us

DETROIT – They look cozy and cute, but Halo Innovations is recalling its SleepSack Wearable blankets for babies.

The blankets affected by this recall have a pink satin flower on the shoulder. Halo warns parents the pink flower can detach and can pose as a choking hazard to children.

SleepSack products with the GPU numbers 2701, 2781, 2886, 2887, 3007, 3035 and 3142 printed on the neck label under the primary neck label are included in the recall.

There has been one report where an infant was found gagging on the detached petal.

The blankets were sold at Babies 'R Us and babiesrus.com from December 2011 to July 2013.

Consumers should immediately stop using the blanket and contact the company for information on how to get a  free replacement.
