Putting the bionic ear to the test

DUNDEE, Mich. – Are you looking for a unique gift this holiday season? Local 4's Paula Tutman found one product out there living up to its promises and she put the 'Bionic Ear" to the test.

Hunters of all kinds are flocking to get their hands on the Bionic Ear.

Kyobe Jones is a hearing specialist at Cabellas in Dundee. She says with this technology you can hear as much as 11 times better than your nakes ear.

By using the hearing devices you can gain a minimum of 40 yards (56 decibels). It means hunters can hear a deer breaking a twig, the rustle of a turkey in the brush or grouse taking flight.
