"I would 100 percent want to go to Baltimore because a piece of me is already in Baltimore," said Andrew Senopole of St. Clair Shores.

"I would like to go just because it would be exciting," added Brenda Turner of Detroit, saying she'd like to see the home team in action on the road.

But, how much would you really be willing to pay? Turner was hoping to really score a deal. "I would say I would probably wanna do $500. That would be as much as I would do $500," she said.

What Would It Cost?

If you were going to book plane tickets and hotel, the $500 limit would probably be too limiting. However, David Fishman of the Cadillac Travel Group says he is surprised about the fares he's seeing after Ruth to the Rescue asked him to review the prices.

"The rates were really good and a lot of space available and you can really do it at a pretty economical rate," said Fishman.

The agents at the Cadillac Travel Group found round-trip air fares to Baltimore running about $420 and first-class $578. Hotel rates can be found for as low as $189 and go up toward $360 for fancier hotels. When it comes to saving more money, Fishman say you should always try bundling the costs.

"Any time you can put together car, hotel, and air, you're usually going to save money," he told Ruth to the Rescue.

Fishman found a package that includes air fare, two nights in Baltimore for just over a thousand dollars per couple. ($1008) The price did not include tickets to the games, so that would add to the total cost. He also reminder Tigers fans that air fares can change quickly. So, if you see a rate you like, you should book it pretty quickly.

Fishman says fans' high expectations for the Tigers could be keeping prices lower. He wonders if fans are confident they'll have other chances to see their team in playoff action.

"A lot of people know that when they come back, they'll finish the series in Detroit. And, they expect them to move on and maybe make it to the World Series," he told Ruth to the Rescue.

If the Tigers do advance, they you can look at booking travel to either Kansas City, Oakland, or Los Angeles depending on what happens with the other teams.
