Attention bargain shoppers, June is the month to save on quite a few items if you know where to look. According to the experts, stores like Home Depot and Sears can be the place to look for bargains this month.
Paint and power tools tend to go on sale before Father's Day, which is June 15th. Or, if Dad might need a new electric razor, you might also see bargains on those potential gifts for the father in your life.
If you're in need to buy dishes or home decor, now would be the time to start looking. These items tend to be wedding gifts and go on sale for June brides.
Back to School Already?
Your children might just be starting their summer vacations, but you might be able to save on some supplies for next year. Last year, some stores started their back-to-school deals in late June. Buy now and have those school supplies ready for next fall.
Shop For Travel Savings
If you're planning to travel in 2014, mid-June might be the time to snag some great deals on air fares. The Wall Street Journal says a spokesperson for BestFares.com predicts a mid-month blowout for travel between August 18th to December 18th, with the exception being Thanksgiving week.
Wait For Better Savings On These Items
There are some items that aren't discounted in the month of June. If you're looking for a new car, you've missed the Memorial Day deals, and your next chance to save money won't come until the Fourth of July.
June is a prime time to buy outdoor items like patio furniture, barbecue grills and gazebos. So, don't look for discounts on those items until after July 4th.
