Past due Detroit water bills? Ask for help

About a year after the battle over water bills in Detroit, the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department is preparing for another round of shutoffs for commercial and residential customers starting in May.

Before that happens, the city is trying to get the word out that help is available. Customers who know they are behind on the bills, or facing termination should reach out for help before a shutoff is imminent.
