Looking to update the old minivan but need something affordable, safe and functional?
Well look no further. The car buying site Edmunds.com and Parents magazine teamed up to search out the top ten budget-conscious, family-oriented vehicles.
Also, if you're willing to splurge a little some more expensive cars also made the list.
The companies say they kept safety as a number one priority when looking at the vehicles, as well as some great features.
Parents Editor-in-Chief Dana Points told USA Today, "Whether they're taking a summer road trip or just making a grocery run, families expect a lot from their vehicles. Safety is every parent's top priority, and we're excited by how many manufacturers are now offering blind-spot mirrors and collision-avoidance systems in addition to multiple airbags and government-required electronic stability control."
The list of the top ten cars includes:
Ford Fiesta ($14,925)
Toyota Prius ($25,010)
Honda Accord ($22,745)
Subaru Outback ($24,320)
Nissan Rogue ($23,650)

Chevrolet Traverse ($31,670)
