The day before the July Fourth holiday, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of the Big Sword handheld fountain device.
These products were made in China, but distributed by a company out of Lansing, Michigan. Federal regulators say the device can unexpectedly explode,posing a burn risk to the user.

So far, there are two reports of the swords exploding, but no injuries have been reported.
The mock sword is a handheld fountain that is intended to emit sparks from the tip of the sword. The blue and yellow sword has the Big Fireworks logo and the words "Big Sword" printed on the front. A yellow cardboard tag attached to the handle of the device has "Big Sword" and a caution statement printed on it. The sword measures 30 inches and has model number 3609 printed above the product's barcode.
They were sold at Big Fireworks retailers and wholesale distributors nationwide from April 2014 to June 2014 for about $13.
You should NOT use these fireworks and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
