Kroger says it will open its largest store in Michigan on Sunday and invites the community to join the grand opening celebrations.

The new, 95,000-square-foot store and fuel center, located at 2905 Union Lake Road, will open its doors to customers for the first time, starting at 8 a.m. Sunday.

From an on-site wine and beverage steward to a large Kitchen Place department and organic produce selection, Kroger says it will offer customers a new shopping experience in the community of Commerce Township.

Kroger will celebrate the grand opening by offering a day full of family entertainment, giveaways and guest appearances such as Detroit Red Wings Tomas Holmstrom, the company says.
