Children's animal slippers recalled
Eyes on animals can fall off, become a choking hazard to young children
Around 60,000 pairs of children's animal slippers that were sold exclusively in Family Dollar Stores have been voluntarily recalled by their manufacturer due to a choking hazard.
Kidgets Animal Sock Top Slippers have been immediately recalled because the animal's eyes can fall off and they can become a choking hazard to young children.
The recalled slippers have brown or tan dog faces, yellow duck faces and tan lion faces. The name "Kidgets" appears inside on the soles. "FD9619108020690611" is printed inside the slippers on the side.
Family Dollar Stores sold the slippers nationwide from September 2011 through October 2011 for about $5.
Customers should take the slippers away from children and return them to Family Dollar for a full refund.
