Reward Offered For Carjacking Suspect

Police are looking for an armed man who allegedly shot a woman while trying to steal her car Friday morning. Attempted Carjacking

Officers said that the woman may have tried to get away when the suspected carjacker approached, and then she was shot. This happened at an apartment complex located at Six Mile and Conner roads.

The woman was taken to St. John Hospital. There was no word on her condition.

Help Eliminate Auto Thefts (HEAT) is offering a $2,000 reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the carjacking suspect. Call (800) 242-HEAT with information. HEAT will keep all tips confidential.
